You may find the process easier by becoming an account holder, although this choice is yours.

Being an account holder will mean that you will have signed a Direct Debit mandate and supplied the relevant bank details as well as a contact e-mail address.

Payment - The relevant fee will be directly debited from your account on the Friday following your application request.

You will still be able to make your application on line, however it will require you to contact the Service and make a credit/debit card payment over the telephone, before your application will be processed and your unique pin code will be returned to you by e-mail.

Payment - You can pay by phoning the Service and making a credit/debit card payment. Your application will not be processed until payment is processed.

10 Year Search (PC)

This certificate is limited to10 years hence from the 1st January of the year in which the enquiry was made.

e.g. If the certificate was made on the 12th Oct 2001, the information supplied will date back until the 1st of January 1991.

Full Search (CO)

This is our most comprehensive certificate relating information pertaining to the property, dating back to the 28th October 1973.

Follow Up Search (AP)

This certificate is designed to follow on from a 10 Year Search, which can update the information back to the 28th October 1973.

You will be required to input the 10 Year Search property reference.
Specified Search (SP)

In response to a demand from customers we now offer a certificate which will span any 10 year period.

This is particularly useful if you know the dates of alterations to the property of interest.

HOW TO APPLY ON LINE
Fill in the boxes as they appear on screen. Not all the information requested is essential to process your application. All mandatory fields are marked - if one of these is not completed the system will return you to the default field.

Information on the occupier is requested to ensure that the Service can fulfil its policy of pursuing all jobs to completion. If it appears that works have not been signed off despite our best efforts in the past, we will take the opportunity with the renewed interest in the property to revisit and assess the completion status.

A scanned image of the location map MUST be attached to the on-line application. The location map can be provided in a number of standard formats in order to cater for the market range in desktop scanners. Simply direct the application image prompt to the location of the scanned image on your PC in order to attach successfully.
Performance standards - Our current target turnaround time is 5 working days. This means that we will have processed and returned the certificate within 5 working days from the date on which the Service receives payment. If you are an account holder it is from the date that you press the send button on our Web page.You may track the progress via the return receipt e mail using the unique PIN number we send to you for each certificate requested.
